Overview
Bayrakdar Consulting partners exclusively with independent consultants. We do not hire employees. We jointly choose the projects that fit your expertise and availability. We align clear scopes, deliverables, and timelines for every engagement. Outcome first, always.
Our work spans development, humanitarian, and democracy and human rights. Technical areas include fundraising research, data analytics, crowdsourcing, grant writing, programme development, training, and project management. A minimum of 3 years relevant experience is required. English is our working language. Arabic, French, Dutch, and German are welcomed. Most work is remote. Occasional in-person workshops or trainings may require travel.
This is a contractor partnership. You invoice us for your services, including any applicable VAT. On onboarding, you sign an Independent Contractor Agreement, NDA, and Data Protection Agreement. For each assignment, you sign a Statement of Work, partner NDA, and Intellectual Property Agreement. These steps are detailed and sometimes tedious, but they protect you and our clients.
We also run a result-based model on selected briefs. It is optional. If you opt in, a portion of your fee is tied to agreed outcomes. Details are confirmed in the Statement of Work.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do you hire full time or part time staff?
No. We only partner with freelance consultants as independent contractors. You retain autonomy over your schedule and workload. You invoice us directly and manage your own taxes, including VAT where applicable.
Which regions and languages are relevant?
We prioritise Europe and the Middle East. English is essential for collaboration and client delivery. Arabic, French, Dutch, and German are desirable for briefings, workshops, and local stakeholder work.
What experience level do you expect?
Minimum 3 years in relevant fundraising and adjacent work. We look for a solid track record in areas such as major gifts, grants, corporate partnerships, annual giving, digital fundraising, feasibility studies, and development audits.
How does the result-based model work?
It is optional and used on selected opportunities. Fee structure and metrics are defined upfront in the assignment’s Statement of Work. If you prefer standard day rate or project fee arrangements, select that in the form.
What documents will I sign and when?
On onboarding: Independent Contractor Agreement, NDA, and Data Protection Agreement. Per assignment: Statement of Work, partner NDA, and IP Agreement. We keep documents precise and necessary to protect all parties.
How do you handle data and privacy?
We collect only what is needed for screening and contracting. Data is processed in line with GDPR and comparable regional regulations. You can request deletion of your profile at any time, subject to legal obligations.
Is travel required?
Mostly no. Delivery is primarily remote. Some workshops or trainings may be onsite. If you are able to travel, indicate it in the form.
What happens after I apply?
We review applications on a rolling basis. If your profile matches current or upcoming briefs, we will contact you for a short capabilities conversation and request references where needed. We keep a talent pool for future fits.
